The Service includes:

• AI-assisted and editorially reviewed news articles
• Newsletter subscriptions (email and RSS)
• Personalized content recommendations based on your interests
• Interactive features such as article ratings and search
• Sponsored content and third-party landing pages, clearly labeled
• Interactive globe-based news event visualization

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access restricted areas of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest content except through our RSS feed or authorized APIs
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Transmit spam or unsolicited communications via the Service

API users may not:

• Use Vela intelligence as the sole basis for automated trading decisions
• Redistribute Vela content without written permission
• Use Vela for any life-critical decisions, including medical devices, emergency response systems, or critical infrastructure
• Exceed allocated API rate limits
• Use API outputs to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any competing artificial intelligence or machine learning model

Violation of any prohibited use may result in immediate suspension or termination of API access without refund.

Portions of our content are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. While all AI-assisted articles are reviewed by human editors and subject to our editorial standards, we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content. AI-generated content is labeled in accordance with our Editorial Policy.

All Vela content is produced with AI assistance and reviewed by our editorial team. AI-generated content is identified with the [AI] label. Content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or medical advice.

Vela is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or legal or medical professional. Nothing in the Service creates a fiduciary duty or advisory relationship. Subscribers are solely responsible for independently verifying content with qualified licensed professionals before making any financial, investment, legal, medical, or business decision.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Company expressly disclaims any warranty that: (i) the Service will meet your requirements; (ii) AI Content, including any confidence score, analysis, summary, or prediction, will be accurate, complete, reliable, or timely; (iii) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components; or (iv) any defects will be corrected.

You acknowledge that AI systems, including large language models, are probabilistic in nature and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased outputs. The Company does not warrant that AI Content will be free of hallucinations or factual errors. You assume all risk of using AI Content.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CONNACT INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. CONNACT INC.'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWD 1,000.

These limitations apply to all causes of action in the aggregate, including breach of contract, tort, strict liability, and any other theory. The parties acknowledge that these limitations are an essential element of the bargain between them. Nothing herein limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company's gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Connact Inc. from and against any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

This obligation covers all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (i) use of the Service in violation of these Terms, including the API prohibited uses in Section 4a; (ii) any financial, investment, or other decision made in reliance on AI Content; (iii) any content you submit that infringes third-party intellectual property rights or violates applicable law; and (iv) any automated system or AI agent you operate that uses Vela API outputs.
